As the leader of the art direction for the SCORP, I ensured that our visual narrative captured the essence of the islands' natural beauty and the urgency of preserving it. Every element of Hawai'i's diverse environment was meticulously represented in our design. Crafting a project logo that symbolized unity and conservation, we wove it seamlessly into all supporting graphic materials, fostering a cohesive and compelling visual identity. Our aim was not just to inform, but to inspire action, urging stakeholders to prioritize the preservation and enhancement of outdoor recreation opportunities across Hawai'i's breathtaking landscapes and seascapes.
SCORP offers a timely opportunity to re-evaluate Hawai'i's recreational needs and trends of statewide importance. With the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, increased participation in outdoor recreation, and local climate impacts, many of our outdoor recreation places and resources are undergoing significant changes. The SCORP seeks to align Hawai'i's recreational priorities with actions to preserve and provide high-quality outdoor recreation opportunities in Hawai'i in all it's holding environments; the sky, the land, and the sea.
